Kemble Community Gardens
Kemble community gardens is a small charity, that took on a large piece of derelict overgrown land to turn into orchards, allotments, and public gardens. This charity has been up and running for approximately 1 year and although they are a charity, do not receive any government funding. The little funding that they have, has been raised by themselves. As a result of this they have had to rely heavily on the donations from companies, such as ourselves.
We chose to put our gardening skills to good use in the allotments, by clearing all the brambles from the orchard area so that you can now see the existing fruit trees and also have the space to plant more. We also erected a communal shed that was donated to the charity and we have helped to organise several 'orchard clearing days' where everybody is invited to help and take part in clearing the site ready for use.
